Lol.
Sorry Pat, it wasn't my idea. It was my wife who wanted us to go out with some friends, since we haven't done anything like that in a few weeks. She is 11 yrs younger than me (26 y/o) so she is (unlike me) stil full of energy lol.
Back to the play...
This total now stands at 132.5 @ Olympic.
I know there are 5 plays on the menu today, and I could easily have one or two more plays, but I don't want to force anything and I will continue to play/post one pick a day.
First of all, this is an early game and Charlotte tends to play these at a slow pace (4-0 under) this year.
Second of all, even thaugh these two teams went over the total by a rather large margin last time they met, it didn't really reflect on today's total, as it is only 3 pts higher than what we had in their previous matchup. So, I do believe the bookies have the same feeling that I have about this game. We will see.
This is the third time they meet this season and Connecticut is 5-0 under when facing an opponent for either third or fourth time this season ( including their lowest, second lowest, and two fourth lowest totals of the season ), while Charlotte owns a 5-0 under record in the same situation as well.
They know each other very well, and they should be able to play solid defense, as they usually do against the majority of Eastern Conference teams. Charlotte is now 14-3 under in last 17 vs Eastern Conference teams, and the under prevailed in 6 out of last 7 Connecticut games vs the East as well.
Charlotte is also 7-4 under on 1 day of rest, while Connecticut's last 3 when playing on 3+ days of rest went under the total.
Connecticut's games have on average around 141 pts this season, but in last 5 they total on average 130 pts, even thaugh they played some up tempo teams in that spot ( Detroit, Indiana, Washington ).
What I like here as well is that Charlotte usually play slow pace in the first half of their home games, while Connecticut tends to slow the game down in the second half, on the road.
Both teams definately can play defense, and hopefully they will show up defensively for us today.
Good luck everyone
